How to Compass
Compass is a holistic view of your form, application and data flow. Easily switch between document styles by toggling whether to deliver a form or application to the viewer.
Document Style
There are two document styles in Goodbinder.
- Form: This presents a single form for the applicant to fill.
- Application: Presents at least one form or document for the applicant to fill. Usual forms of navigation is a previous and next button. The form createor can choose to display the form in document mode.
Document Mode
This mode serves the purpose of changing your application orientation. Instead of the normal navigation buttons, the previous and next buttons, the viewer must use the scroll bar to view the form. This feature presents your form as one single document.
Getting Started
A Compass is initially created for each Goodbinder member when their account is created. You can use this Compass or create one yourself by clicking on the plus (+) icon next to the left Compass navigation.
Form is the default Document Style in the Compass. Simply click the button within the Select Your Form area to insert a form in Your Forms collection.
Whether you select Form or Application for your document style, the primary form cannot be deleted. You are free to change the primary form or any other form. If you change any of the forms within your Compass after data collection has begun, then the underlying data will be different than the previously collected data. This is because your new forms may contain different field types and field names.
Selecting Application for your document style can be used for surveys, contracts, tests that require multiple steps and pages

Approvers
If you require approvers to approve or deny a request or process, the approvers must exist on the primary form. If any additional forms have an approver widget in them, those approvals will be ignored.
